BIO ON ALAN STOCK
Talkers Magazine (www.talkers.com), the bible of the talk radio industry, has named Alan Stock as one of the 100 most influential talk radio hosts in America. Radio and Records, the one-time bible of the entire radio industry, named Alan one of six top local talk radio personalities. Alan has been the recipient of two Electronic Media Awards and in 2003, Alan was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association’s Hall of Fame. In July of 2015, Newsmax named Alan as one of the Top 50 local talk show hosts in America.
Alan has interviewed dignitaries, stars, entertainers and politicians. Among others, Alan has interviewed are Paul Anka, Mickey Rooney, Tony Orlando, Wayne Newton, The Everly Brothers, The Righteous Brothers, Debbi Reynolds, Don Rickles, Ted Nugent, Bo Diddley, Charlie Daniels, Kenny Loggins, the Moody Blues’ Justin Hayward, Doo Wop King Dion DiMucci, Frankie Valli, and Johnny Otis among others. Alan even interviewed mime Marcel Marceau.

Alan has, also, appeared as a political pundit on MSNBC, CNN and on Sean Hannity’s Great American Panel. He was a political pundit for a few years on KLAS/8NewsNow’s popular “Politics Now” weekend show.
Prior to Alan’s forty year plus career in the television and radio industry, he worked in the field of psychotherapy for 10 years.
Alan’s radio career has taken him from Santa Rosa to San Diego, Sacramento and San Francisco. In June of 1999, Alan was hired as the afternoon drive time host at KXNT, the CBS affiliate in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the first eighteen months, afternoon ratings quadrupled. In the fall of 2001, Alan became the morning co-host of The Alan Stock Show. In 2012, Alan was the host of a nightly interview program on VegasTV. Today he hosts mornings on Vegas@8 at KXNT and remains a popular local talk show figure in Las Vegas.
Since 1999, Alan has been the Master of Ceremonies of the annual Las Vegas Veterans’ Day Parade, the second largest Veterans’ Day parade in the nation.
Alan and his wife Rhoda were childhood sweethearts and remain happily married. They have twin daughters, two great sons-in-law and three beautiful granddaughters and a handsome grandson…and a Coton de Tulear pooch named Molly.
